Vlogmas in One Day | My Favorite Christmas Things

Merry Christmas Daizies!

I hope everyone is having a peaceful and festive holiday! Each year, Vlogmas content makes its waves around the internet and around day 14 or something I realize “I should really so Vlogmas this year”. Vlogmas is when bloggers, YouTubers, and creators create a post/content for each day leading up to Christmas. I’m just going to get in where I fit in and make a comprehensive blog post of what my vlogmas would’ve looked like if I did for one week at least lol.

Day 1: My Favorite Holiday Movie

This christmas movie

I think I’ve seen This Christmas probably 200 times in my lifetime. There’s something so comforting about warm Christmas music, a real dramatic family plot, and Chris Brown in his prime. I watch the characters as if I know them like I can understand their frustrations, and wish them the best outcome each time. It’s been 12 years since I saw it in theatres and I still love it.

Day 2:  Essential Oil Blends for the Holidays

Over the past year, I’ve gained a strong affinity for essential oils. They’re a must-have in my house for haircare, aromatherapy, and wellness. For the holidays you can try these lovely winter scents:

Cinnamon+Frankincense+Lemongrass

Peppermint+Patchouli +Lemon

Cinnamon+ Bergamont+ Sweet Orange

Day 3: Best Vacation Destination for the Winter

Last year I went on a last-minute trip to Puerto Vallarta a week before Christmas. It was a last-minute considering I booked the trip just 3 weeks from departure. It’s about to be year 2 of a getaway in Mexico for some days of self-care and reflection as I close out the year. If you live on the West Coast, Mexico is great for a warm and sunny trip you can enjoy without having to deal with a 12+ hour flight. Check out my travel vlog on YouTube and my blog post summarizing my trip. I can’t wait to share with you all what I ended up doing for my 2019 end of year trip.

Day 4: Best Cookies for Any Occasion

tollhouse cookies.jpeg

I’ve been a ride or die Tollhouse chocolate chip cookie dough fan since 2003. I was so excited to start baking cookies as a kid and when I discovered the richness of the chocolate and the perfect taste of the dough that’s provided with a pack of Tollhouse cookie dough I was HOOKED. If you want to make some cookies that seem homemade, it’s best you buy a pack from the grocery store, you’ll never be disappointed.

Day 5: Holiday Albums that Never Get Old

You probably go to this Mariah Carey’s Christmas album to listen to All I Want for Christmas but it’s also a fun album to continue listening to once you play that song out. I remember when Destiny’s Child released their music video for 8 Days of Christmas and all of their outfits were SO cute. I wanted to be in Destiny’s Child so bad.

Day 6: Gifts You Can Never Go Wrong With

The older I get, the less I want to be physically in stores and getting individual gifts for people lol. I discovered that gift cards can cut out so much of the guessing work and time and the person can then get whatever it is they want. I’m always losing socks so any addition of warm fuzzy socks is always lovely. And who doesn’t love an amazingly scented candle?

Day 7: Favorite Games to Play for Holiday Parties

Well, this is pretty much my favorite game to play at any party, any gathering, or any day. Cuz all I do is win!

Happy Holidays Everyone!
